St. Michael’s Foundation helps the hospital fulfill its mission as Toronto’s Urban Angel, providing compassionate, innovative care for all in need.

The foundation raises funds from a variety of initiatives including annual giving, special events, major gifts, and bequest gifts.  We have been fortunate to have a long history of generous support from many friends – our inspiring stories include patients and their families, staff, physicians, volunteers, community members and corporations.

Foundation staff and volunteers proudly practice the highest standards in ethical fundraising. We are members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Many of our senior fundraising staff have a certified professional fundraising designation, CFRE, or are working towards this accreditation.

We are also members of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.
