St. Michael's story began in 1892, when the Sisters of St. Joseph built the hospital to help Torontonians fight a ravaging diphtheria epidemic.

Every member of our family has a story to tell – patients, donors, volunteers, staff – even St. Michael’s statue, which stands watch over us as Toronto’s Urban Angel.

Continue reading some remarkable stories of hope, inspiration and a glimpse of what’s possible at St. Michael’s.
