It is often said that St. Michael’s has a unique culture of caring and compassion. It is our people who make that happen. We are fortunate to have a team of physicians as committed to the hospital as they are to their patients.

They dedicate their skills to improving patient care at St. Michael’s and provide financial support. We have had full physician participation in two fund-raising campaigns.

“I am tremendously proud of my colleagues. There is a special feeling between the physicians and the hospital,” says orthopaedic surgeon Dr. James Waddell, chair of the last Physicians Campaign.

“What is most impressive is 100 percent of physicians who work here contributed. To my knowledge, this continues to be the only hospital in North America to achieve this distinction. And we’ve done it twice.”

Many of our physicians are engaged in a number of hospital fundraising activities throughout the year, raising not just money and awareness, but spirits too. We sincerely appreciate their generous support.
