Celebrating Volunteers

We have a history of successful fundraising campaigns thanks to volunteers who work tirelessly to raise money to build new facilities, purchase innovative equipment and advance research.

“Volunteers are our hospital’s backbone, doing so much to support the work of our physicians and staff. Our volunteers are inspiring,” says Bill Downe, Director, St. Michael’s Foundation Board of Directors & Former Chair, Board of Directors, St. Michael’s.

Since becoming involved with St. Michael’s, John Manning, Co-Chair, Urban Angel Golf Committee and Member, President’s Council, has seen our hospital’s medical innovation first-hand.

John works in the financial district and knows that St. Michael’s stands ready to help any of his colleagues and others working in the downtown core.

To show his support, John co-chairs the foundation’s Urban Angel Golf Classic, which raised more than $3 million in the past three years alone.

“We’re aiming for another million this year. We know how important it is for patient care,” he adds.
