Our hospital is a leader in research, and we’re proud to say, one of Canada’s top teaching hospitals, with a strong focus in knowledge translation. What's knowledge translation? Knowledge translation happens when educators work with researchers and care providers to bring new research findings to patient bedsides. Our educators deliver insights from studies to doctors and nurses in the Hospital who use these facts to make informed decision; which help patients heal faster, respond better to treatments and can even save lives.

Our care is the reason why patients and their families want to give back. In turn, our donors and fundraising volunteers are proud of the difference they make to the lives of our patients.

You can help. The hospital has urgent needs and fundraising priorities to invest research and bringing leading experts to St. Michael's. In addition, all areas of the hospital have a list of equipment they desperately need to meet patients' needs.

Learn about the many ways you can support St. Michael's in our how to give section.
